Ferrari has just taken the wraps off its newest supercar — the Ferrari 296 Speciale — and here are some key details about this new prancing horse from Maranello.
While the supercar continues to come with the same hybrid powertrain, improvements have been made to bump up the combined maximum system output to a whopping 880PS.
Triple digit speeds are claimed to appear in just 2.8 seconds, with a top speed northwards of 330kmph, though that isn’t very relevant in real world situations.
Key differences between the GTB and the Speciale include twin rear winglets, more aggressive splitters, and air intakes on the front bonnet. There’s also a Spider version that has been showcased alongside the regular car.
Extensive use of carbon fibre and Alcantara has been made in order to reduce weight. The car has shed a total of 60 kilos when compared to the GTB.
Both these details are yet to be revealed by the Italian manufacturer. But don’t expect the Speciale to come cheap!
