The Windsor EV has been among the best selling electric vehicles in India from its first launch and the only EV that has managed to defeat the Tata Nexon in monthly sales.
From its launch back in September 2024, MG Motor India crossed 15,000 unit production with the Windsor EV, as reported by the carmaker.
For the past four months, the Windsor EV has been the best-selling electric car in India, averaging about 3,000 unit monthly dispatches.
Furthermore, in order to comply with the rising demand, the carmaker has announced to increase the production of the Windsor EV at its Halol plant in Gujarat.
Since MG Motor India will be restructuring its manufacturing facility for new products, the carmaker hints at a drop in dispatches from its plant in the month of February 2025.
Two upcoming EVs from MG have already been confirmed that are the Cyberster electric roadster and M9 electric van. Both these models were showcased at the Auto Expo 2025 and are aligned to be launched in the first half of 2025.
