MG had launched the all-electric Windsor EV on September 11 along with its Battery-as-a-Service pricing model. Both the Windsor and the BaaS model have been able to successfully grab the attention of the people.
MG has reported that it received 15,176 bookings for the new Windsor EV within 24 hours of commencement of bookings. This is an impressive number for an electric vehicle in India.
Under the BaaS model, the MG Windsor EV price starts at Rs 9.99 lakh for the car and Rs 3.5 per km for the battery lease. The all-inclusive ex-showroom starting price is set at Rs 13.49 lakh. Subsequent variants are priced at a premium of Rs 1 lakh each.
The Windsor EV comes equipped with a 38kWh battery with prismatic cells that power a front-mounted motor producing 136PS of power and 200Nm of torque. MG claims a range of 331 kilometres.
The 2024 MG Windsor EV features include a large fixed glass roof, reclining rear seats, ventilated front seats, 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 9 speakers, 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, and more.
MG Windsor safety features include 6 airbags, 360-degree cameras, ESC, disk brakes on all four wheels, TPMS, auto-dimming IRVM, hill-assist control, hill-descent control, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers, and more.
