Mercedes-Benz hasn’t been doing very well in terms of global sales, particularly because of declining EV sales for the brand. Sales of Mercedes-Benz EV models went down in FY24 when compared to the data from FY23.
The German carmaker entailed some of the key steps that it is planning to take in the next five years, including major product launches across various fuel types.
Planned for a global launch in 2027, Mercedes-Benz will introduce an all-new electric E-Class, which will be closer to the ICE E-Class than the Mercedes-Benz EQE electric sedan, as the latter clearly did not fare well.
The new philosophy of keeping ICE and EVs more alike will debut on the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class EV, a concept version of which we saw at the Auto Expo 2025 as the Concept CLA. It will be launched in both electric and hybrid options.
A few other notable cars and SUVs that are on the cards include a facelifted S-Class that will be launched in 2026, a smaller G-Class, and an electric GLC. An electric S-Class will also be here by 2030.
There are quite a few electric cars and SUVs that Mercedes currently sells in India, such as the EQS sedan, EQA SUV, EQB SUV, EQE SUV, EQS SUV, Maybach EQS SUV, and the G-Class electric.
