After a small hiatus, the Mercedes-AMG G 63 comes back to India carrying an eye-watering price of Rs 3.60 crore ex-showroom. Here is everything that the new G63 offers over the outgoing model.
Starting with the design, the updated G 63 now offers reprofiled bumpers along with stainless steel AMG inserts. It is also available with optional 22-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, the biggest change is the updated infotainment system, which runs on new user interface and supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Another addition is the new 3-spoke steering wheel with capacitive controls.
It continues with its handcrafted 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that now has been added with a mild-hybrid system. As a result, it now gets 22PS of additional power boost from the electric motor, as and when demanded. The powertrain output stands at 585PS and 850Nm of torque.
While the Mercedes-AMG G 63 has been launched today at an eye watering price of Rs 3.60 crore, the first batch of the SUV is already sold out, which consists of over 120 SUVs.
However, Mercedes-AMG is accepting bookings for the 2025 G 63, the deliveries of which will begin in the third quarter of 2025. The feature set and equipment will remain the same for the 2025 model year.
