Maserati GranTurismo India Debut - The Italian Trilogy

Maserati GranTurismo 

The second-generation Maserati GranTurismo, which made its global debut back in 2022, is finally making its way to India. The Maserati GT is available in three trims — Modena, Trofeo and the all-electric Folgore.

Maserati GranTurismo India Launch

Maserati is launching the second-gen GranTurismo on August 30, 2024. It will first be launched in the petrol versions, hopefully both Modena and the more powerful Trofeo. The all-electric Folgore will also be launched a little later.

Maserati GranTurismo Petrol Powertrains

The GranTurismo Modena and Trofeo get a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine. This engine is tuned to produce 483bhp and 600Nm of torque on the Modena, and 550bhp and 650Nm of torque on the Trofeo. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Maserati GranTurismo Folgore Battery & Motors

The Maserati GranTurismo gets three 300kW electric motors, two of them placed on the rear axle and one on the front. The combined power output of this all-wheel drive electric powertrain is 750bhp and a staggering 1,350Nm of torque. The GT Folgore gets a 92.5kWh battery, providing a range of 450 kilometres.

Maserati GranTurismo Acceleration & Top Speed

The Maserati GranTurismo Modena has a top speed of 302kph and a 0-100kph time of 3.9 seconds. The Trofeo has a top speed of 320kph and a 0-100kph time of 3.5 seconds. The Folgore can reach a top speed of 325kph and triple digit speeds appear in just 2.7 seconds. Now that’s quick!

Maserati In Trouble?

Stellantis, the parent company of Maserati, is reportedly looking to sell off Maserati due to the Italian automaker’s financial issues. Maserati has been a loss-making subsidiary for the group and its sales have been on the decline.
