Maruti Suzuki India Limited stands as a dominant force in the Indian automotive industry. In fiscal year 2023-24, the company sold 2,135,323 units to achieve a record. This reinforces Maruti Suzuki’s position as the largest passenger vehicle manufacturer in India, holding a major chunk of market share.
As reported by Maruti Suzuki, It continued to dominate the Indian auto market by selling 1,75,041 units in July 2024 even though it saw a marginal decline in sales when compared to July 2023.
Maruti Suzuki July 2024 Sales were lower as compared to June 2024 in nearly all the categories like domestic sales and exports. 1,79,228 units were sold in June 2024 but it fell to 1,75,041 units in July 2024.
Maruti Suzuki July 2024 Sales declined by 9.6% YoY with domestic sales as its biggest driver with more than 14000 units of difference. Exports and LCV sales grew but just by a small margin.
Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 1,75,041 units in July 2024 with 1,37,463 of them going to the domestic market. Cars like the Baleno, Dzire, Swift and WagonR which constitute Maruti Suzuki’s compact segment have contributed to a total sales of 58,682 units in July 2024.
Even with an increase in the total sales volume, Maruti Suzuki India Limited exported 23,985 units in June 2024, which is lower than 31,033 units of June 2023.
