Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch its first electric model in the Indian market — the e Vitara. A new teaser video gives a sneak peek into the design of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara packs in a heavily revised Heartect platform modified keeping electrification in mind. The same platform also underpins the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, which is similar to the e Vitara in multiple ways.
Maruti Suzuki is likely to offer the e Vitara with two battery pack options — 49kWh and 61kWh. The driving range of both battery options is yet to be disclosed. Furthermore, the India-spec e Vitara is said to offer only the front-wheel-drive option.
The interior looks fresh too, with a trending twin-screen setup for infotainment and instrumentation, a flat-bottom steering wheel, vertically-placed AC vents, physical controls for HVAC, ADAS, fabric + leather/leatherette seats, and more.
Maruti Suzuki will reveal the production-spec version of the e Vitara at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, followed by its launch nationwide.
