The Bharat NCAP results are out for the Mahindra XUV 3XO, and this model has achieved an impressive 5-star rating for both adult and child occupant protection.
Launched in April this year, this model offers two rows of seating and is available in several variants, including MX1, MX2, MX2 Pro, MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX5 L, AX7, and AX7L. In the BNCAP tests, the AX7L and MX2 variants of this model were tested.
In the adult protection rating, it scored 29.36 out of a possible 32 points. For the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test, it scored 13.36 out of 16, showing solid protection in front impacts. Meanwhile, in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test, it reached the full score of 16 out of 16, demonstrating excellent side-impact safety.
The XUV 3XO received a score of 43 out of 49 for Child Occupant Protection, reflecting its strong safety performance.
In the dynamic test, including front and side impact, it scored a perfect 24 out of 24. The CRS installation received full marks with a score of 12 out of 12, while the vehicle assessment scored 7 out of 13.
According to Bharat NCAP, this rating applies to all variants of the Mahindra XUV 3XO, with each equipped with essential safety assist technologies as standard. These include ESC, side head protection system (curtain airbags), pedestrian protection system, and seat belt reminders across the range.
