Tata Motors has a wide range of electric cars and SUVs on sale in India including the Tata Punch EV, Tata Tiago EV, Tata Tigor EV, Tata Nexon EV, and Tata Curvv EV.
The Indian carmaker has sold over 2 lakh electric vehicles in India since the Tata Nexon EV India launch back in 2020.
The carmaker has announced a slew of offers for the next 45 days, citing the reason as a celebration of the 2 lakh Tata EV sales milestone. More details about the offers are given in the image above.
Tata is offering an exchange bonus of up to Rs 50,000 on upgrading to a Tata EV. The carmaker is also offering loyalty bonus of Rs 50,000 to existing Tata.ev customers, and Rs 20,000 to Tata ICE customers, on purchase of the Nexon EV and Curvv EV.
While the carmaker has cited the sales milestone as the reason, we suspect that it might also be due to a significant inventory of Tata electric cars with dealers due to unfavourable sales trends.
Incidentally, Tesla is rumoured to soon open shop in India with competitive pricing for its famed global electric cars, having an effect on stock prices of major automakers in India.
