JSW MG Motor India sold a total of 4,588 cars and SUVs in the month of September 2024. Read the next slides to know more about the sales trends for MG India.
MG saw a negligible increase of 0.4% as compared to last month’s sales, selling just 17 units more than August 2024. Sales for the brand have been stagnant month-on-month as they have been posting almost identical numbers for quite some time now.
MG witnessed an 8.3% negative growth when compared to the same month last year. It sold 5,003 vehicles in September 2023 against 4,588 units sold this September, falling short of 415 units of what they did last year.
In August 2024, the ratio of sales from electric to ICE vehicles stood at 35:65, which has further come close to 49:51 in the month of September 2024. MG now sells almost as many electric vehicles as petrol and diesel ones.

MG had launched the 2024 MG Windsor EV on September 11, 2024, introducing with it the Battery-as-a-Service model. Through BaaS, customers can opt to purchase the vehicle separately and get the battery on lease from one of MG’s financing partners for this model. This is aimed at boosting EV adoption and is expected to give MG a much needed rise in sales.
