Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) recorded sales of 64,201 units in the month of September 2024. This includes sales in both domestic as well as international markets.
Domestic sales rose by 3.2% while exports fell by 4% when compared to the numbers from August 2024. Net result stood at a positive 1.6% with 1,026 more units sold than the previous month.
Year-on-year growth took a hit as net sales declined by 10.4% with both domestic and international sales contributing to this fall. Hyundai sold 7,440 less vehicles in September 2024 than September 2023.
Hyundai SUVs continue to bring in the majority of the sales in September 2024. SUVs like the Creta, Venue etc. brought in 70% of the sales. Hyundai also launched the new Alcazar SUV last month.
HMIL recorded its highest-ever contribution from CNG-powered vehicles with such cars accounting for 13.8% of the total Hyundai cars sales in September 2024.
