Land Rover India is all set to officially launch the Defender Octa in the Indian market on March 26, 2025. The Octa is the hardcore version of the Defender SUV and it packs several changes over the standard model.
The Defender Octa, available exclusively in the 110 body style and boasts flared wheel arches, a more open front grille, fewer perforations in the front skid plate, and an increased ground clearance of 319mm.
Additional highlights include unique 22-inch alloy wheels fitted with all-season tires, an ‘Octa’ badge on the C-pillar, and a gloss black roof and tailgate.
A standout feature of the Defender Octa is its advanced 6D Dynamics suspension system, which eliminates the need for a traditional anti-roll bar by hydraulically linking the dampers.
The Defender Octa offers a 28mm increase in ground clearance, and a 100mm boost in wading depth over the standard Defender. It also features a bespoke drive mode with an off-road launch setting and the fastest steering rack ever fitted to a Defender.
The Defender Octa is equipped with the same 4.4-litre BMW-sourced mild-hybrid V8 found in the Range Rover, but with a higher output of 635hp and 750Nm of torque.
