Kia is gearing up to launch the new Syros SUV next year and will reveal it on December 19, 2024. While the brand will shortly be announcing more details, here is what we know about the upcoming Kia Syros engine options.
Unlike the Sonet SUV, the new Kia Syros will only be offered with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine option which will come with a manual as well as a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
As confirmed by us earlier, the new Kia Syros will also get the tried and tested 1.5-litre diesel engine that also does duty on multiple other Kia and Hyundai cars. This engine, with a claimed power and torque output of 115hp and 250Nm respectively, is likely to get two gearbox options – 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT.
While the Syros will make its debut on 19 December, the official launch in India could take place in January, likely at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Show.
The official Kia Syros delivery timeline is yet to be confirmed by the Korean carmaker but deliveries are expected to start by late January or early February next year.
