Kia India has once again made a voluntary recall for a total of 1,380 units of its flagship model, the Kia EV6, in India due to a potential issue with the integrated charging control unit (ICCU).

A similar recall regarding potential issues with the ICCU was issued back in July 2024, where a total of 1,138 units were recalled.

Kia has identified a potential issue with the Kia EV6's ICCU that may affect the performance of the 12V auxiliary battery.

Which date-manufactured units are affected?

The Kia EV6 units manufactured between March 3, 2022, and April 14, 2023, are potentially affected by this issue.

What customers can do?

Kia has already reached out to affected owners. If you own an EV6 manufactured within these dates and have not been contacted, you can contact an authorized Kia dealership for an inspection.

Kia EV6 facelift on the horizon

In addition, the 2025 Kia EV6 facelift is set to launch soon. This model was unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, and the price reveal is expected in March.
