The Carens is Kia’s three-row MPV that goes against other six and seven seater cars in India like the Maruti Ertiga, Maruti XL6, Hyundai Alcazar, and Citroen Aircross.
Kia had announced later last year that it will increase the prices of all Kia cars in India this year, amidst all major carmakers announcing price hikes.
The Kia Carens prices in India have just been increased by up to Rs 10,000, depending on the variant and powertrain combination opted for.
The Carens is available in nine broad variants — Premium 7, Premium (O) 7, Gravity, Prestige, Prestige (O) 6, Prestige Plus 7, Prestige Plus (O), Luxury Plus, and X-Line 6.
The Carens is offered with three engine options and a variety of gearboxes. There’s a 1.5-litre NA petrol with a 6-speed manual, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol with a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT, and a 1.5-litre diesel with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor.
The Kia Carens facelift India launch will take place by August 2025, and is expected to soon be followed by the launch of the upcoming Kia Carens EV. Stay tuned to CARS24 Autoverse for latest updates!
