The front suspension of the D-Max Ambulance features independent double wishbones, while the rear uses leaf springs. It has a body-on-frame chassis, and the wheelbase has been shortened for improved manoeuvrability.
The Isuzu Ambulance gets plenty of safety features including ESC, hill-descent control, ABS with EBD, 2 airbags, traction control system, intelligent brake override system, emergency brake assist, and more.
The new Isuzu D-Max Ambulance has been priced at Rs 25.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai).
AIS-125 or Automotive Industry Standards-125 are the standards for building road ambulances to be used in India. Formulated by ARAI for MoRTH, these standards are further branched into four types — A,B,C, and D — each type having different quantities and specifications of standard equipment.
