Honda Cars India had recently launched the next generation Honda Amaze, following the launch of the updated Maruti Dzire. Is the new Amaze the best sub-4 metre sedan in India? Here are the top Honda Amaze pros and cons.
The Amaze gets its front face from the Elevate, rear from the City, and the side profile from the previous generation Amaze, all of which come together to form a cohesive and appealing design.
Featuring the only car in the segment to get the option of a CVT gearbox, the Honda Amaze automatic variants provide a smooth commuting experience as compared to the AMT variants of other rival cars.
The Honda Amaze happens to be India’s most affordable car to get a Level-2 ADAS suite. Other Honda Amaze safety features include 6 airbags, vehicle stability control, lane watch camera, hill-start assist, and more.
Honda offers just one engine option on the Amaze, that too a naturally-aspirated petrol one. It lacks the option of a factory-fitted CNG kit, as well as more powerful turbo-petrol or diesel engines.
While it gets lots of standard safety features, the Honda Amaze misses out on certain features like 360-degree cameras, sunroof, adjustable rear headrests, and TPMS.
While the fit and finish of materials used on the Honda Amaze interior doesn’t leave much room to complain about, the quality of materials used could have been better and more premium.
