The Gloster is MG’s contender for the D-segment SUV market in India, and goes head against other SUVs such as the Skoda Kodiaq, Hyundai Tucson, and the famed Toyota Fortuner.
How does the MG Gloster compare to its rivals, and what are some of its key pros and cons? Let us take a look.
The Gloster is a comfortable car, is good for highway runs, gets plenty of features, and seems to offer good value for money.
It does have its shortcomings though. The Gloster isn’t the best handling SUV in the segment, and the old 2.0-litre diesel engine isn’t that great either. There are concerns around its after sales as well.
The MG Gloster price in India starts at Rs 39.56 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), and goes up till Rs 44.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The SUV is currently being offered with discounts of up to Rs 5.50 lakh.
We suggest that you should wait for the upcoming MG Majestor, which aims to be a premium version of the Gloster, before making a buying decision. The MG Majestor India launch is expected to take place by March-April 2025.
