Renault is planning to relaunch the Duster SUV in India in its latest generation, featuring a ton of changes over the car that we used to get in the past.
Reports suggest that Renault is also considering offering a hybrid powertrain on the Duster in addition to pure-ICE ones. We expect Renault to put its 1.6-litre petrol-hybrid setup on the India-spec Duster.
The new generation of the Duster, which is already on sale in certain global markets, gets a new front grille, a boxier rear end, and triads all over the place. Certain styling cues show a great resemblance to the original Duster.
The SUV gets a two-layered dashboard with distinctive air-con vents. Key Renault Duster features include automatic climate control, a sunroof, a large touchscreen infotainment system, an ADAS suite, a premium sound system, and more.
The global-spec Duster is based on Nissan-Renault’s CMF-B modular platform that also underpins certain other global cars and SUVs from both the manufacturers.
Renault is expected to launch the new Duster later this year or sometime next year. Exact Renault Duster India launch timeline is yet to be officially confirmed. The hybrid could be launched alongside the petrol engine.
