Hyundai India has announced a price hike for all Hyundai cars on sale in India, effective from the start of the next calendar year. This comes after major luxury carmakers such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi also announcing similar price hikes.
HMIL has said that it will increase the price of all Hyundai cars and SUVs in India up to Rs 25,000. This shall come into effect from January 1, 2025 onwards for cars manufactured in the calendar year 2025.
HMIL has stated the usual reasons like rise in input costs, adverse exchange rate, and increase in logistics costs, for the said price hike.
“At Hyundai Motor India Limited, our endeavor is always to absorb rising costs to the extent possible, ensuring minimal impact on our customers. However, with the sustained increase in input cost, it has now become imperative to pass on a part of this cost escalation through a minor price adjustment. This price increase will be done across models and the extent of increase will be up to Rs 25000. The price increase will be effective from January 1, 2025 on all MY25 models.”
Hyundai has a diverse lineup of cars and SUVs in India — Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Hyundai i20, Hyundai Exter, Hyundai Venue, Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Aura, Hyundai Verna, Hyundai Alcazar, Hyundai Tucson, and the all-electric Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Hyundai is adding another SUV to its electric vehicle lineup in India, with the upcoming launch of the Creta EV in 2025. It will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo that is scheduled to take place from 17-22 January, 2025.
