Hyundai, like other carmakers, fell victim of the falling car demand in the Indian market in the past months. As a result, the carmaker fell down from its 2nd position in monthly sales. However, it manages to retain the 2nd spot in yearly sales.
Hyundai Motor India dispatched 67,320 units in March 2025. Out of the total sales, domestic sales stood at 51,820 units whereas exports stood at 15,500 units. YoY growth stood at 2.6% compared to March 2024.
Hyundai Motor India posted a strong recovery from February 2025’s 47,727 domestic and 11,000 export dispatches, thereby boosting the overall sales as well as market share.
Hyundai remains the second-largest domestic carmaker and top passenger car exporter in India. Total domestic dispatches in FY 2024-25 stood at 5,98,666 units. SUVs contributed 68.5% of total sales, with the Hyundai Creta leading.
The Hyundai Creta dominates the C-SUV segment and its sales in Q1 (Jan-Mar 2025) stood at 52,898 units. Hyundai surpassed the 1.5 million Creta sales milestone (domestic + exports) since launch.
