Hyundai has finally addressed the lack of wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, but not through an OTA update. Instead, the company is offering a wireless adapter as an official accessory for select models.
The Hyundai Alcazar now supports wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay via a USB-A adapter. This adapter is available for Prestige, Platinum, and Signature variants of the Alcazar.
The Hyundai wireless adapter costs ₹3,800. It plugs into the USB-A port and converts the wired connection into a wireless one, allowing seamless phone projection.
This adapter may also be compatible with other Hyundai models like Creta, Verna, i20, and Tucson, which lack built-in wireless projection. We expect Hyundai to offer this adapter as an accessory to existing Hyundai owners as well.
Models with lower variants featuring the 8.0-inch touchscreen (Venue, i20, Creta, Verna) already have wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay from the factory, thereby eliminating the need of the adapter.
