Indian car sales figures for the month of January 2025 are out, and here are the top selling cars in India.

Maruti Wagon R

The Wagon R returns to its throne, garnering 24,078 units of sales last month. The car has completed 25 years of sales in the country.

Maruti Baleno

Next in line is another Maruti car in India — the Baleno. MSIL sold 19,965 units of the Baleno in the month of January 2025.

Hyundai Creta

The Hyundai Creta has been pushed to the third spot, selling 18,522 cars in January 2025.

Maruti Swift

Maruti Suzuki sold 17,081 units of the Swift last month, fairing ahead of the Tata Punch. The Swift underwent a generational update in 2024.

Tata Punch

The Tata Punch gathered 16,231 units of sales in January, claiming the fifth position in the list of top selling cars in India.

Maruti Grand Vitara

Another C-segment SUV to make it to this list is the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, selling 15,784 units over the same period.

Mahindra Scorpio

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic and Mahindra Scorpio N together garnered 15,442 units of sales in January.

Tata Nexon

Offered in a wide variety of powertrain options, the Tata Nexon secured a spot for itself in the list, selling 15,397 units.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which also received a generational update following the Swift, gathered 15,383 units of sales.

With a sales of 15,192 units, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx was the tenth most selling car in India in January 2025.
