The direct-import Skoda Superb, which was launched at an obnoxious price of 54 lakh is currently under Rs 18 lakh discount. After the discount, the Skoda Superb is currently retailing at 36 lakh ex-showroom, which is near to the locally-assembled Superb.
Out of the 100 units that were imported, around 20-25 units are left unsold which are under the said 18 lakh discount. Only select dealerships across India are offering the unsold unit at a tempting discount.
The Skoda Superb was earlier offered as a CKD (locally-assembled) model in India but later discounted in April 2023 due to the stringent emission norms.
Over the locally-assembled model, the CBU Superb offered more features such as adaptive dampers, active tyre pressure monitoring system, nine airbags and a bigger 9.0-inch infotainment system from Columbus.
While the current-gen Superb is under discounts, Skoda India is readying the new-gen Superb for the Indian market. Revealed globally earlier this year, the new Superb is likely to come to the Indian market as a CKD at an attractive price.
