Mercedes’ flagship convertible model—the Mercedes-Maybach SL Monogram series—is launching in India on March 17.
Being a Maybach, it is obvious for the Maybach SL to have abundance of chrome everywhere; on the front grille, bumpers, alloy wheels and interior trim pieces.
Being a Maybach, again, the Maybach SL offers the optional dual-tone paint, despite being a convertible model. It also features white interior with white leather upholstery for the seats as well.
Maybach doesn’t leave any space devoid of its twin-M logos. You get to see Maybach logos on the seats, hood, steering wheel, aluminum pedals, door sills and start up animations on instrumentation screens.
The Mercedes-Maybach gets the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 from the SL 63 AMG, albeit with a different tune. It puts out 585PS of power and 800Nm of torque.
Needless to say, the Maybach SL will sit above the AMG SL 55, that’s priced at Rs 2.35 crore ex-showroom. The Maybach should easily cross the Rs 3 crore barrier upon launch.
