New engine and transmission option

The outgoing model only got the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol Puretech 110 engine paired to a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. The updated Aircross SUV now comes with an option of a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine too, that comes paired to a 5-speed MT.

Added features on the interior

The new Aircross gets LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, grab handles on the passenger side, electrically-foldable ORVMs, and rear AC vents, all of which was missing on the current models. The controls for the windows are now placed on the doors that add to the convenience. There’s soft-touch material used on the dashboard too.

Better safety

There are six airbags on offer now, rather than just two as seen earlier. The Aircross SUV also gets ISOFIX child seat mounts. Other features like ABS with EBS, ESC, TPMS, hill-hold assist etc. were already present on the car.

Learning from your mistakes is the key

As seen with the new Citroen Basalt, Citroen has been learning from its mistakes and working towards rectifying them. The approach is also making its way to the current lineup of Citroen cars in India, just like we are seeing on the Aircross SUV, and such changes are much welcome!
