The Volvo EX30, as we mentioned earlier, is Volvo’s smallest and most-affordable electric vehicle and like everything other carmaker, Volvo wants us to believe it's an SUV.
Speaking about the design of the EX30, it carries its key design cues from the larger EX90. The EX30 gets a new interpretation of the Thor-Hammer LED headlights, enclosed front grille, 19-inch alloys and vertical tail lights.
On the features front, the EX30 packs in the latest-gen infotainment system that comes with Google apps functionality, park pilot assist, surround view camera with parking sensors, advanced driving assistance systems, premium surround sound system and a lot more.
Coming to the Volvo EX30 powertrains, it offers two options in the global market — RWD and AWD. The RWD powertrain uses a 272PS electric motor while the AWD offers a power output of 428PS.
The carmaker is actively considering the CKD route for its smallest EV, in order to keep the costs in check. It will go up against the likes of the Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and BYD Sealion 7.
Volvo Cars India has confirmed its plans to launch the EX30 in the year 2025. Needless to say, it will sit below the EX40 and EC30 in the brand’s lineup.
