Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that it is developing a smaller and more affordable version of the popular G-Class. Details about the same are scarce as of now.
Autocar UK has released spy shots of what appears to be a smaller version of another popular SUV, the Land Rover Defender.
As per reports, the upcoming Baby Defender will be based on JLR’s new EMA platform, and the SUV will be exclusively an EV.
There are speculations that this upcoming SUV might be called either the Land Rover Defender Sport or the Land Rover Defender 80.
As seen on the spied test mule, the mini Defender will get a boxy silhouette that is reminiscent of the Defender family. It features prominent wheel arches, a flat rear end, and a straight bonnet.
The Land Rover Defender has been successful in India, selling over 5,000 units in under 5 years of its launch. The carmaker has also recently launched the Defender Octa based on the Defender 110.
