The Comet EV is one of the most affordable electric cars in India, and has been a decently-well selling product for the carmaker. It is a good car for intracity commuting and has near to zero direct competition.
JSW MG Motor India has just launched the MG Comet black edition, christened as the MG Comet EV Blackstorm. Here’s what’s new about this special edition.
The Blackstorm gets an all-black exterior with hints of red throughout the place. The wheel covers have been blackened out, and garnishes such as the MORRIS GARAGES badging have been finished in a shade of red.
A similar treatment has been done to the cabin as well, with a black leatherette upholstery paired with red stitching and red Blackstorm badging.
The Comet Blackstorm is based on the top-spec Exclusive FC variant, and gets features such as a dual-screen setup, manual AC, dual airbags, ESC, digital key, and more. A key differentiating feature is the addition of two speakers over the regular MG Comet EV Exclusive.
The MG Comet Blackstorm price in India has been announced as Rs 7.80 lakh plus Rs 2.5 to Rs 4.5 per kilometre for the battery rental under the BaaS scheme. The price without BaaS hasn’t yet been disclosed. MG Comet Blackstorm bookings can be made against a token amount of Rs 11,000.
