Toyota has launched the ninth generation of its flagship luxury sedan in India — Toyota Camry. Available in a single trim, the new Camry gets many updates over the previous generation. Here are the top things to know about the 2025 Toyota Camry hybrid.
Honestly, impressive would be somewhat of an understatement, as the Toyota Camry gets a claimed mileage of 25.49kmpl. Thanks to the 2.5-litre hybrid powertrain that produces 230PS of maximum power, making the Camry ace both efficiency and performance.
The Camry hybrid gets super comfortable seats wrapped in yellow-brown leather upholstery. The front seats can be electrically adjusted in 10 ways (yes, both of them), and the rear seats can be reclined, too. There’s a hefty armrest at the rear as well.
Behind the rear armrest is a latch that lets occupants access the boot from inside the cabin, without the need of getting out of the car. Speaking from experience (our Skoda Laura had this too), this feature comes quite handy, especially during long road trips.
While the Audi A4 is priced around Rs 2 lakh cheaper than the 2025 Toyota Camry, the latter undercuts rest of its direct competitors by a healthy margin. It is priced Rs 6 lakh cheaper than the current generation Skoda Superb and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and more than Rs 12 lakh cheaper than the BMW 3-Series. The 2025 Toyota Camry price in India stands at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The ninth generation Toyota Camry gets a lot of active and passive safety equipment such as nine airbags, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 ADAS suite, 360-degree cameras, TPMS, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and more. It is underpinned by the reliable TNGA-K platform, which also underpinned the outgoing generation.
