The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq received an impressive 5 star safety rating in the crash test. Euro NCAP tested the LHD Diesel 4X4 variant of the Czech SUV.
The Skoda Kodiaq received a stable rating in the frontal offset test, scoring 89% score in adult occupant safety tests. Dummy numbers showed good protection of the knees and femurs of both the driver and passenger.
In the child occupant safety, the Kodiaq was tested in the both the frontal offset and side barrier tests, where protection was good for all critical body areas of both child dummies apart from the neck of the 10 year dummy, protection of which was adequate.
The tested Kodiaq boasted features such as 6 airbags, seat belt reminders with pretensioners for all seats, ISOFIX mounts on the front passenger and rear seats, and ADAS features.
The Kodiaq SUV tested by Euro NCAP was equipped with the 2.0-litre diesel engine with alll-wheel drivetrain. However, the India bound Kodiaq will offer a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is said to be launched in India around mid-2025. The Kodiaq will continue to go against other family SUVs like the Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner.
