MG Motor India is set to launch an updated 2025 Windsor EV with a larger 50kWh battery pack, addressing the biggest limitation of the current 38kWh version that offers a range of 280–300 km.
The official launch of the upgraded Windsor EV is expected to take place between May 7 and 8, as teased in MG’s “Block Your Date” invitation. The larger battery pack will enable the Windsor to go against the Creta Electric and Curvv EV.
In addition to the larger battery pack, the new 2025 MG Windsor EV may also offer a few additional features over the current mode, which could also include advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS).
The MG Windsor EV currently comes with a 38kWh battery pack that powers a front-mounted electric motor. Its electric motor puts out 136PS of power and 200Nm of torque.
Needless to say, the addition of a larger battery pack will also increase the price of the Windsor EV, which currently retails between Rs 14 lakh and 16 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
