Hyundai is all set to launch the Hyundai Creta EV, which it has officially named the Hyundai Creta Electric (yup, that’s it), at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 that is scheduled to take place from January 17-22, 2025. The upcoming Creta Electric will replace the now discontinued Hyundai Kona Electric.
The Hyundai Creta Electric gets a redesigned front face and new aerodynamic alloy wheels in order to maximise range. Rest of the design elements have been directly carried over from the ICE Creta including the headlights and rear lights.
The upcoming Creta Electric will be offered with two battery pack options — 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The smaller battery pack comes with a claimed range of 390 kilometres, and the larger pack comes with a claimed range of 473 kilometres. These figures are ARAI-certified as per Rev.1 guidelines.
Hyundai claims a 10%-80% charging time of 58 minutes with a DC fast charger. 10%-100% claimed charging time via an 11kW wall charger stands at 4 hours.
The Hyundai Creta Electric interior has not yet been revealed fully, but the teaser video shows a steering column-mounted gear lever, a dual-screen setup, a three-pin socket at the back, panoramic sunroof, and Hyundai’s four-dot Morse code logo on the steering wheel, among other features.
The electric Creta will make its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo that is scheduled to be held from January 17-22, 2025, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The official launch date is yet to be announced by Hyundai.
