Mercedes has launched the new Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV in India today in a single 680 4Matic trim with the AMG styling package.
The electric SUV comes with a pair of electric motors situated on each axle that generate a combined output of 44PS and 858Nm of torque. The motors get power from a 122kWh battery pack. The variant that we get in India features an all-wheel drive setup.
The top speed of the new Mercedez-Benz EQS SUV is electronically limited to 210kmph and it can reach triple digit speeds in just 4.7 seconds, which is impressive for a car of its size and weight.
The EQS 680 SUV gets an ARAI-certified range of 809 kilometres owing to its large battery pack. The battery can be charged to 80% in 31 minutes via a 200kW DC fast charger. A more widely available 22kW charger can fully charge the battery in 6.25 hours.
The EQS 680 SUV features Mercedes’ Hyperscreen setup, which comprises a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch co-driver screen. It also gets a 15-speaker Burmester sound system, a panoramic sunroof, rear seat entertainment, five-zone climate control, and a lot more than we couldn’t fit here.
The Mercedes EQS 680 SUV price has been set at Rs 1.41 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is just Rs 2 lakh more than the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV launched last year. The ultra luxurious Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV costs a whopping Rs 2.25 crore.
