Maruti Suzuki has given two of its best selling cars in India a generational update this year. Both the Swift and the Dzire have entered their fourth generation, with a new platform, new engine, new styling, and added features.
Both the cars share a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82PS of maximum power and 111.7Nm of peak torque. There’s a new fifth-generation Heartect platform too, that underpins both these cars.
For the first time, the Swift and the Dzire get a completely varying styling on the outside. While the Swift looks curvy and enthusiastic, the Dzire donnes a sophisticated design with elements like the front grille and lights resembling those of some Audi cars.
The Dzire is longer, wider, and higher than the Swift, though the wheelbase, ground clearance, and tyre sizes of both the cars are identical. Exact dimensions can be referred from the table above.
The cars get an almost identical dashboard layout but the colours and materials used on the Dzire make it look more upmarket and spacious than the Swift. The Dzire also gets some additional features like sunroof, 360-degree cameras, rear reading lamps, TPMS, and a boot that can be opened via the key fob.
The price of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift ranges between Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.49 lakh. The price of the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire ranges between Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 10.14 lakh. A detailed comparison can be read under the Reviews section of our website: https://www.cars24.com/news/reviews/
