Mahindra XUV 3XO is Mahindra’s entry-level compact SUV, which is essentially a facelift of the Mahindra XUV300, which was itself a reworked version of the Ssangyong Tivoli. The Mahindra 3XO is the most powerful SUV of its segment.
While Global NCAP hasn’t tested the Mahindra XUV 3XO yet, it did test the Mahindra XUV300 a few years ago. Being a facelift of the XUV300, we expect the Mahindra 3XO to get a similar safety rating to its predecessor.
The Mahindra XUV300, which was tested back in 2020, scored an impressive 5 star rating for adult occupant protection and 4 stars for child occupant protection. It scored 16.42 points out of 17 for adult occupant protection and 37.44 points out of 49 for child occupant protection.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO gets plenty of engine-transmission configurations to choose from. You can opt for either a 1.2-litre TCMPFi petrol engine or a 1.2-litre TGDi petrol engine, both of which can be paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. There’s also a 1.5-litre turbo diesel on offer, paired to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT.
Loaded with features would be an understatement for the XUV 3XO. It gets TPMS, level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera setup, auto-dimming IRVM, cooled glovebox, electronic parking brake with auto hold, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear wiper with washer and what not.
Priced between Rs 7.49 Lakh to Rs 15.49 Lakh (ex-showroom), the Mahindra XUV 3XO goes against the likes of Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Renault Kiger.
