Kia India recently launched the fourth generation facelift of the Carnival MPV in India after a brief hiatus of a year and half. The refreshed MPV got a lot of changes in terms of design, packaging, features, and…its price.
Kia India has announced that it has delivered 400 Carnivals to its customers across India. This comes within two months of commencement of deliveries of this luxury family MPV.
The current waiting period for the Carnival Limousine has come down from a year to just over six months. The Carnival is reportedly assembled at Kia’s Ananthapur plant in Andhra Pradesh.
Kia India has garnered 3,350 bookings for this huge MPV within weeks of commencement. Notably, the South Korean carmaker had already received a record 1,822 bookings even before the price was announced at its launch in India.
The Kia Carnival, offered in a single Limousine Plus variant, is priced at Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in two exterior paint options — Fusion Black and Glacier White Pearl.
There aren't any direct rivals to the Kia Carnival. Out of the four closest competitors, two are priced much lower than the Carnival (Toyota Innova Hycross & BYD eMax 7), while two sit on the opposite side of the spectrum (Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM 300h).
