Maruti Suzuki announced last Thursday that it has till date produced over 1 crore cars and SUVs at its manufacturing facility in Manesar, Haryana. This milestone comes 18 years after starting production at the said plant back in October 2006.
The 1,00,00,000th car to be rolled out from the Manesar plant was a red Maruti Suzuki Brezza that you can see in the picture above.
Maruti Suzuki currently manufactures eight models at the Manesar facility in Haryana — Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, Ciaz, Dzire, WagonR, S-Presso and Celerio.
The cars and SUVs manufactured here are not just sold in India, but are also exported to various international markets in Latin America, Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Maruti Suzuki operates three manufacturing facilities in India — one at Manesar, Haryana , one at Gurugram, Haryana, and one at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Since inception, the automaker has made over 3.11 crore cars and SUVs.
The current overall production capacity of Maruti Suzuki in India across all its three plants stands at 23.50 lakh vehicles per year.
