Engine and transmission details
Unlike the new Maruti Dzire, both these sedans get four-cylinder engines. Honda’s i-VTEC is the most powerful motor in its segment, and comes with a proper CVT automatic gearbox. The Aura, however, boasts of a CNG option which is not available on the new Amaze. Power and torque specifications are mentioned in the table below.

Design and dimensions
All of the B-segment sedans in the market today score good on the design front. The new Amaze takes a leap from the previous generation, sharing cues from the City and the Elevate and seamlessly integrating them into the silhouette of the sub-compact sedan. The Aura is perhaps the most sporty of the lot, featuring a good-looking rear spoiler, a curvy and flowing body, and fancy alloy wheels. The Amaze is the widest of all rival cars, and also has the longest wheelbase, up by 20mm over the Aura, Dzire, and Tigor. The Amaze also has a large boot, falling just 3 litres short of the segment-best Tata Tigor.

Interior and features
The touchscreen unit in the Aura is integrated into the dashboard, while the one in the Amaze is a floating unit that’s been stacked above. Both get physical controls for air-conditioning and semi-digital instrument clusters. Key Honda Amaze features include a Level-2 ADAS suite, 6 airbags, remote engine start/stop, LED headlamps, and more. Key Hyundai Aura features include TPMS, 6 airbags, LED headlamps, cooled glovebox, and more.

Aura vs Amaze price difference
The 2024 Hyundai Aura price in India ranges between Rs 6.48 lakh and Rs 9.04 lakh. The 2025 Honda Amaze price in India starts at Rs 7.99 lakh and goes up till Rs 10.89 lakh. CNG variants of the Aura begin from Rs 7.48 lakh, while none are offered on the new Amaze yet.
