Citroen Basalt Variants Explained - You, Plus Or Max?

Citroen launched the Basalt Coupe SUV on August 9, 2024, at a starting price of Rs 7.99 Lakh (ex-showroom). With three drivetrain configurations and a bit more generosity in providing creature comforts, the Basalt might help Citroen give a push to its image from the perspective of the Indian customer. Citroen Basalt Coupe SUV

Citroen’s fifth car in the Indian market and also one of India’s first mass market coupe SUVs, the Citroen Basalt comes with two engine options — a 1.2-litre three-cylinder NA petrol paired to a 5-speed manual, and a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque convertor. The Citroen Basalt measures 4,352mm in length, 1,765mm in width and 1,593mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,651mm and sits on 16-inch wheels. The Basalt coupe SUV gets 470 litres of boot space.

The Citroen Basalt is up for sale in three trim options — You, Plus and Max. The 1.2-litre NA petrol engine is offered in the You and Plus trims, while the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol is offered in Plus and Max trims, with both transmission options available in both the trims. Citroen has unveiled the price of just the base variant of the Basalt as of now. The Citroen Basalt You price is set at Rs 7.99 Lakh (ex-showroom).
