Based on the same platform as the Casper sub-compact city car, the new Inster EV will be slightly larger and measures 3.8 metres in length and 1.6 metres in width. Furthermore, a longer wheelbase and larger dimensions not only free up space for the underfloor battery pack but also help in offering more cabin room.

Measuring slightly shorter than the Citroën eC3, this new entry-level Hyundai electric car will feature versatile interiors with individual four seats that can be folded completely flat. The two rear seats can be slid and reclined to maximise legroom or boot space.

In terms of design, the new Inster EV will retain a boxy styling dominated by a bold front fascia and a tall-boy-like stance. The large, round headlights, similar to those of the Casper, are also seen on the Inster, while the rear quarter might remind you of other larger Hyundai SUVs.

Hyundai Inster India launch

2024

Hyundai India is likely to expand its Indian portfolio with a number of new electric cars including the much-awaited Hyundai Creta EV which was recently spied testing in India. While the official launch timeline of the new Hyundai Inster EV is still awaited, we expect Hyundai to bring it to the Indian shores somewhere next year. If launched, the Hyundai Inster EV will take on other affordable electric SUVs like the Tata Punch EV and the Citroen eC3.
