Volkswagen India has introduced two new trims of the Virtus. The new Virtus GT Line, starting at Rs 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom), is equipped with a 1.0L TSI engine. Meanwhile, the Virtus GT Plus Sport, priced at Rs 17.84 lakh (ex-showroom), features a more powerful 1.5L TSI EVO petrol engine. Both models sport the GT badge and come loaded with a variety of impressive features alongside their punchy engines. Volkswagen Virtus GT Line: Exterior & interior

The Virtus GT Line features a sleek blacked-out front grille with a distinct GT Line badge on the doors. It also comes with stylish blackened LED headlamps, integrated LED DRLs, and a striking black design strip running across the front and rear. The side profile maintains this elegant look with black window bars and ORVMs, along with dark chrome door handle garnishes. The GT Line badge is also present on the boot lid, where you’ll find black 'VIRTUS' letters and a glossy black spoiler. To complete the bold aesthetic, the car rides on 16-inch ‘Razor’ black alloy wheels.

 

The Virtus GT Line’s interior features a stylish glossy black dashboard paired with red ambient lighting. The cabin design is dominated by black, including the headliner, sun visors, grab handles, and door trim. The seats are a blend of leatherette and fabric, highlighted with grey stitching, adding a refined touch to the overall look.

 

What features are available

 

In terms of features, it comes equipped with a 10.09-inch VW Play touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There's also a 8-inch digital cockpit, front and rear fog lamps, automatic headlights, an electric sunroof, keyless push-button start-stop, an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror, a smart touch Climatronic AC, and rain-sensing wipers.

 

On the safety side, the Virtus GT Line offers six airbags, ESC, ABS, EBD, traction control, brake assist, multi-collision brakes, a tyre pressure deflation warning system, and hill hold control, among other safety features.

The Virtus GT Plus Sport sedan showcases a bold blackened front grille featuring a red GT logo and sleek black LED headlamps. It has stylish design strips at the front and rear, along with a dual-tone roof. The exterior highlights include black accents around the ORVMs and window bars, red GT badges on the side fender and boot lid, and black “VIRTUS” lettering on the boot. Equipped with an Aero kit, it features a sporty front bumper, rear bumper, side running boards, and rear diffuser, all riding on 16-inch Razor black alloy wheels with red callipers.

 

Inside, the black interior is accented with red stitching on the steering wheel, which includes the GT clasp. The glossy black dashboard and door handles complement the red ambient lighting and aluminium pedals. The headliner, ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ pillars, grab handles, sun visors, and roof lamp housing are all in black, while the leatherette seat upholstery features red stitching, creating a sleek and sporty atmosphere.

 

It comes packed with features like a 10.09-inch infotainment system, an 8-inch instrument cluster, an amplifier with subwoofer, auto headlights, and electric front seats for both driver and co-driver. It also includes ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, and several other practical features.

The Virtus GT Line features a 1.0L TSI engine, delivering a maximum power of 115PS and 178Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed automatic or a manual transmission. In contrast, the Virtus GT Plus Sport boasts a 1.5L TSI EVO engine equipped with active cylinder technology, generating 150PS of power and 250Nm of torque. This powertrain is available with a choice of a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG transmission.
