Toyota took the wraps off the Innova EV concept back in 2022 and ever since its unveil, there has not been any update on the project. While the Innova EV Concept is not turning into a reality anytime soon, it has not stopped the folks at Toyota to update the EV concept with a refreshed design and efficient powertrain. Read on to know more about the Toyota Innova EV Concept design, features, specifications and more.

Updated design

Showcased at the ongoing GIIAS 2025 auto show in Indonesia, the updated Innova EV Concept features exterior details such as connected LED headlights with new lighting elements, enclosed front grille with blue elements, blue and grey decals around the side profile, machined alloy wheels and connected LED tail lights along with the BEV badging. Revamped interior

Like the exterior, the interior of the Innova EV Concept is similar to its ICE counterpart, albeit with a few changes. These include a larger touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone charging, ambient lighting, a redesigned gear selector and updated instrument cluster dials. Since it's an EV, it also features a flat floor for better sense of space and ease of ingress and egress.

Toyota Innova EV Concept battery, motor specifications

Talking about its specifications, the Toyota Innova EV concept packs a 59.3kWh battery pack that channels power to an electric motor. Its electric motor is rated at 179PS of power and a massive 700Nm of torque. Furthermore, Toyota has not shared details about its expected driving range and charging speed, however, we know that it does support both AC and DC charging. Toyota is clear about not putting the Innova EV to production and is only restricted to a concept vehicle.
