Updated Citroen C3 Launched — Price Hiked By Rs 30,000

At its first launch, Citroen India received ample flak for not offering new-age good-to-have features with the C3 hatchback. It missed out on multiple features such as LED headlights, automatic climate control, centralised power window controls, power-adjustable ORVMs and more. At the launch of the Basalt, Citroen also announced the updated C3 and C3 Aircross offering new features, which were demanded by the prospective buyers. Here is the list of updates the new Citroen C3 offers along with its updated price list.

Updated Citroen C3 Features

The Citroen C3 has been updated with new features such as LED projector headlights, auto-folding ORVMs, automatic climate control, LCD digital instrument cluster and power window controls on rear door cards. However, while these features are welcome additions, the C3 still misses out on multiple features such as keyless entry with push-button start/stop, front and rear armrests, cruise control and wireless charger.

Interestingly, Citroen announced the addition of standard 6 airbags across the C3 variants but the same is yet to reflect in the latest brochure. Our sources tell us that the 6 airbags will be offered as a standard fitment in the coming months. As of now, 6 airbags are offered in the Feel and Shine variants whereas other safety features such as electronic stability program, hill-hold control and tyre pressure monitoring system are reserved for the top-spec Shine turbo variant only.

Updated Citroen C3 Price

The base price of the Citroen C3 remains to start from Rs 6.13 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. The higher variants of the C3 see a price hike of Rs 20,000 and Rs 30,000, owing to the addition of newly-added features mentioned above. Find the updated Citroen C3 price list attached below.

Citroen C3 Engine Options

The Citroen C3 offers two engine options — a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol, with both being the 3-cylinder engines. The naturally-aspirated engine produces 82PS of power and 115Nm of torque whereas the turbocharged engine produces 110PS of power and 190Nm (205Nm with the automatic) of torque. Transmission options could include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, with the latter two exclusive to the turbo petrol engine only. It is worth mentioning that the Citroen C3 automatic prices are yet to be announced.
