Upcoming Tata Sierra spy shots surface online ahead of India launch in 2025!

Tata had showcased the upcoming Tata Sierra ICE at the recently held Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025, and there was news about the SUV being up for a launch later this year. First Tata Sierra spy shots have just surfaced online, and the test mule spied featured heavy camouflage. Here’s all that we know about the upcoming Tata Sierra. 

2025 Tata Sierra SUV

The Sierra was the first Tata car in India, with its initial launch back in early 1990s. The Indian carmaker is set to revive the iconic nameplate in a fresh new avatar, and has displayed several prototypes at various auto shows. Auto Expo 2024 featured an electric prototype, while Auto Expo 2025 featured an ICE prototype.

New Tata Sierra design 

The new Sierra pays tribute to the original Sierra SUV with a familiar greenhouse design that was unique to the car. The test mule featured steel wheels, but the production versions are likely to get alloys. Other notable styling elements include slim LED DRLs, a sleek connected light bar at the rear, and a spoiler. The spied test mule seems to be the ICE version of the SUV, with an air intake at the front.

Tata Sierra interior and features

The spy shots do not include pictures of the interior, nor did Tata reveal it to us at the Auto Expo. What we know from previous showcases is that the new Tata Sierra will be offered in four and five seater options, with the four-seater one having a lounge-like arrangement at the back. At the front, we’ll get to see a couple of screens, Tata’s two spoke steering wheel with the illuminated logo, and lots of fabric on the dashboard.

Upcoming Tata Sierra India launch timeline

The Tata Sierra EV is likely to be launched in India by the end of this year, which will soon be followed by the ICE version of the SUV. The upcoming Tata Sierra ICE is expected to come with both petrol and diesel powertrains.
