Nissan has confirmed its plans to launch the upcoming C-SUV in the financial year 2026. The carmaker claims to remain on its track to launch four products by the financial year 2026. Unlike before, Nissan has also divulged more information about the upcoming C-SUV, which up until now was under the wraps.

Upcoming Nissan C-SUV design details

In its recent announcement—which also confirmed the upcoming Renault Triber-based Nissan compact MPV—the carmaker revealed more details about the upcoming C-SUV. Nissan shared that the upcoming C-SUV will draw heavy design inspiration from the new Patrol—Nissan’s flagship off-road SUV. The teaser image shared by Nissan reveals a bold and athletic stance of the SUV. The front profile gets the C-shaped LED DRLs along with a bold grille adjoining the headlight clusters—just like the Patrol.

Nissan also claims that its upcoming C-SUV will also have impressive approach and departure angles, making it perfect for Indian driving conditions. Reports suggest that the Nissan C-SUV will be positioned as a more premium counterpart of the Renault C-SUV, which will share its engines and underpinnings with its Nissan sibling. Both the upcoming Nissan and Renault SUVs will share a common modular platform, which will also spawn a D-segment 7-seater SUV for respective brands.

Nissan C-SUV interior and features

Given the premium positioning of the Nissan SUV, it is obvious to have more premium interior than the utilitarian Duster. Reports suggest that the Nissan C-SUV will come in fewer variants compared to Renault’s counterpart but pack more features and better quality materials. Its feature list could include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, surround view camera, rear AC vents or more. It remains to be seen whether the Nissan SUV packs premium features like Level-2 ADAS and panoramic sunroof like the competition or avoid these creature comforts to keep the prices competitive.

Expected Nissan C-SUV price and rivals

The upcoming Nissan C-SUV will go up against the likes of the other C-SUVs in the market, which are quite a few, with options like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Curvv, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate and MG Astor. It’s too early to expect the Nissan C-SUV price but given the past examples, the Nissan SUV will be competitively priced alongside other C-SUVs, which typically range between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, ex-showroom.
