A fresh spy shot of the upcoming Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater has surfaced online, offering a glimpse into both its exterior and interior. The buzz around this upcoming model didn’t start this year or month. In fact, even last year, the news that the 7-seater Grand Vitara launch is expected to happen by 2025 also caught the attention of many. The upcoming Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater is internally codenamed Maruti Y17.

In recent spy shots of the 7-seater Maruti Grand Vitara, the vehicle was fully camouflaged, making it hard to get a clear view of its exterior design. However, it's expected that the front will feature new, striking LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, and a redesigned grille. 

Notably, the roof lacks roof rails, with the shoulder line smoothly flowing toward the rear. At the rear, we can spot the wiper, hood spoilers, and shark fin. The side profile also looks quite similar to the current Grand Vitara.

What stands out most is the captured image of the Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater interior. Though unclear, it reveals a free-standing infotainment system. Aside from that, it's hard to discern much, but the 7-seater is expected to come with a new dashboard featuring soft-touch materials and premium upholstery. We can also expect additional features, but nothing too groundbreaking.

For those not waiting for a specific new model from Maruti Suzuki due to a tight budget, there are still options available within the current range. If you're not specifically interested in a hatchback, you may need to stretch your budget a bit. Alternatively, a good middle ground could be looking at used Maruti Suzuki cars from good sources, so you don’t have to compromise on either your choice or your budget.

The 5 seater Maruti Grand Vitara dimensions measure 4345 mm in length, 1795 mm in width, 1645 mm in height, and offers 373 litres of boot space. It also has an unladen ground clearance of 210 mm and a wheelbase of 2600 mm. On the other hand, the upcoming Maruti Grand Vitara 7 seater dimension will be larger in several aspects.

Upcoming Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater engine

The upcoming Grand Vitara 7-seater is expected to feature the same engine options as the current Maruti Grand Vitara. This includes the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine and the 1.5-litre petrol-hybrid engine. Once launched, the Grand Vitara 7-seater will take on rivals like the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and Tata Safari.

Maruti’s upcoming plant in Kharkhoda, Haryana, is expected to be operational by mid-2025. It is said that the Maruti Grand Vitara 7-seater will be manufactured at this new facility. Considering this timeline, the Maruti Vitara 7-seater launch can be expected towards the end of 2025.
