An upcoming Kia 7-seater MPV was recently spotted testing on Indian roads. I know what you might be thinking – is this a facelift of the Kia Carens that's about to launch? Well, it's not exactly that, but it's somewhat in that direction. This upcoming 7-seater Kia MPV is said to be an extension of the Carens model. Kia seems to be following a strategy where they will keep the current Carens in the lineup while introducing a more feature-rich, slightly premium 7-seater with a new name. This new premium Kia MPV is expected to come with both EV and ICE powertrains, along with plenty of features. Keep reading below for a detailed look at the Upcoming Kia 7-seater MPV launch timeline, what its exterior and interior might look like, the features we can expect, and more.
Upcoming Kia 7-seater MPV exterior spied

As said, the upcoming Kia 7-seater MPV, an extension of the Kia Carens, will sit above the Carens in both price and features. In the recently spied images, the Kia 7-seater MPV exterior was mostly hidden under camouflage, but some details were visible. The window framing style looks familiar, the door handles are hidden but likely to be pull-out type, and we can spot shoulder roof rails, a shark fin antenna, and a new set of alloy wheels.
At the rear, the upcoming Kia MPV is heavily covered, but it seems like we might see a connected LED taillight. The full design is still unclear. As for the front, it was also covered, but based on previous spy shots, it’s expected that we might see connected LED lighting along with an LED lighting cluster just beneath it.
Kia 7-seater MPV interior & features

The interior of the new Kia 7-seater MPV is expected to be more premium than the Kia Carens, giving a well-equipped and spacious cabin. Currently, the Kia Carens misses out on features like a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, ventilated front & rear seats, and more, thou it still has other key features.
For the upcoming 7-seater Kia MPV features, it’s expected that we’ll see twin 12.3-inch screens, one for infotainment & another for driver display. It is anticipated that it will also come equipped with head-up display, 5-inch climate control screen, panoramic sunroof, adjustable driver & passenger seats, front & rear ventilated seats, EPB with auto-hold, 360-degree camera, and more. Additionally, it is expected to include the Level 2 ADAS suite.

As for the EV powertrain in this upcoming MPV, it’s anticipated to come with two battery pack options—42kWh and 51.4kWh. It’s also likely to feature a single-motor layout.
