Jeep has internationally begun testing the facelift of its popular Grand Cherokee SUV. The latest spy shots of a test car showcase that it’ll get a heavily revised front design and new features as well. The facelifted model is expected to debut next year globally, while its Indian debut could take place later next year. Learn below the complete list of changes that the Grand Cherokee facelift is expected to receive.
2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Facelift: What Has Changed?
The Grand Cherokee is a globally renowned SUV that is well known for its off-road capabilities as well as luxury on offer. However, Jeep has not been able to sell a lot of these in India. Maybe, the blunt design language and boring appeal has pulled customers back from buying it. Hence, to change it, Jeep will bring its facelift in the global markets next year. The test car can be seen with a covered front fascia, indicating that it will get a revised design language. We expect that the new model will get a new set of headlights, a revised grille and a new bumper as well.
However, the test car is seen with an unchanged rear design, but the side profile has a new set of black colour alloy wheels. We suspect that going forward its rear design will also undergo changes. On the inside, Jeep could introduce a new leather upholstery, added features like a connected screen panel, massaging seats, etc. The current Jeep Grand Cherokee is a 5-seater SUV, and the new model will remain unchanged as well. Another visible addition is of the ADAS module, as the front camera and sensors are visible on the windshield.

Powering the new model will be the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that is used on the current model. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, generating a peak power output of 270PS and 400Nm of torque. There is a slight possibility that Jeep would introduce a mild-hybrid system to make it more efficient to drive.
The current Grand Cherokee is being offered with a huge discount of up to Rs 12 lakh due to its poor sales in India. We expect that the newer model, when introduced, will bring better sales to Jeep India.
